Japan Nursing and Caregiver Recruitment for Indian Nurses
Japan offers strong opportunities for Indian nurses and caregiving professionals through its Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) programme, especially in the Nursing Care field. With an ageing population and rising demand for long-term care, Japan recruits international candidates who can communicate in Japanese and provide safe, compassionate care.
Scholar Overseas supports Indian nurses and caregivers with profile assessment, Japanese language preparation, SSW exam guidance, documentation, employer matching and Japan visa-process support.
Understand the Two Pathways
SSW Nursing Care / Caregiver Pathway
This is the most practical route for many Indian nurses and caregivers. It allows candidates to work in Japanʼs caregiving sector a9er passing the required skill and language tests and securing a job offer from a Japanese employer.
This pathway is suitable for candidates interested in:
- Elderly care
- Nursing homes
- Day-care centres
- Disability support and care facilities
- Long-term care facilities
- Hospital caregiving support roles, where applicable
2. Registered Nurse Pathway in Japan
To work as a fully licensed registered nurse in Japan, candidates generally need advanced Japanese proficiency and must clear Japanʼs national nursing examination. This is a separate and more demanding route from the SSW Nursing Care pathway.
Scholar Overseas helps candidates understand both options and choose the route that matches their qualification, language level and career goal.
